Vitamin D helps the body to absorb calcium and phosphorus from the gut (two minerals essential to bone health). It can therefore help to support bone growth and muscle strength. Without enough vitamin D, bones are at risk of becoming thin, brittle or misshapen.
Calcium is well known for its role in building and maintaining strong bones, but it’s also vital for muscle movement.
